A Handful of Grass
At first, Hamburg cab driver and ex-policeman Hellkamp doesn't quite know what to do with the little Turkish boy who is waiting in vain in his car for his uncle to return. Finally, he takes the ten-year-old Kendal, who doesn't speak a word of German, home with him. What Hellkamp doesn't suspect is that Kendal was brought to Germany to serve as a drug mule for Turkish gangsters.
Just as the grumpy Hellkamp begins to befriend the boy, a couple of Kendal's shady "relatives" show up at Hellkamp's door to pick up the boy. A short time later, Hellkamp and Kendal meet again. The shy boy has meanwhile become a shrewd drug mule. Hellkamp decides to free Kendal from the brutal milieu of the drug dealers. But the drug squad is also after the boy - in order to use him as an informant.
