DEATHMAKER was honored with the German Film Award for Best Director and Best Film, among others, and Götz George received the Coppa Volpi at the Venice Film Festival for his performance as the lead actor.

Numerous productions followed, including Roland Suso Richter's A HANDFUL OF GRASS, which won in the children's film section at Cannes in 2001, Jan Schütte's FETTE WELT and the multiple award-winning TV two-parter DIE BUBI SCHOLZ STORY.

Even before the book became a bestseller, Peter Herrmann acquired the rights to NOWHERE IN AFRICA and found the director for the material in Caroline Link. In addition to the German Film Award in several categories, the film won many
prizes at international festivals and in 2003 was awarded the Oscar® as best foreign language film.

Herrmann moved back to Africa for his next project, where he worked together with director Sherry Hormann the life story of Somali supermodel Waris Dirie.  DESERT FLOWER was not only a huge success at the German box office, but also sold very well internationally and won several awards.

In a second collaboration with Caroline Link, the most recent film was set in Morocco with Ulrich Tukur and Samuel Schneider, an eventful father-son story in which the two protagonists search for and find each other in remote desert landscapes.
